RENOVO

MILESTONES

1. Recently the City of Calgary approved our Development Permit. This approval was required before we moved ahead with any substantive work.

2. We've completed a professional cost estimate of all the planned work and the estimate is slightly better than we had originally expected, so that's good news. A summary of those costs is in the attached presentation.

3. We presented our plans to Michael Chan, the diocese's chief operating officer, and he informed Bishop Henry, who then invited us to present our plans to his committee of financial advisors and consultants.

4. At that meeting, we made a request for approval of our plans, plus a loan of between $800,000 and $1 million to complete Renovo . Given that we have completed the heating and roof, plus our fund raising accomplishments to date, our plans were approved by the Bishop Henry and his committee. Bishop Henry complemented St. Gerard's on its accomplishments to date and expressed strong support for moving Renovo forward.

That brings us to our next steps. We now have the essential pieces in place to complete Renovo.

To review the plans and our financial approach to pay for all the plans, we will hold a Renovo Consultation Meeting in just over a week, on Wed. May 25, 7:30 pm at the church hall.

We sure hope you can make it to this meeting. Please pass the word among all those in the parish who are interested and invite them to attend. Bring a friend. Send this invitation to anyone who may be interested.
