Who We Are
We are one of approximately 200 councils of the Knights of Columbus located in Alberta and the NWT. We received our Charter from the Knights of Columbus, Supreme office, New Haven Connecticut, on May 4, 1973, and were formed as BISHOP KLEIN COUNCIL 6488. We serve as a ministry of St Gerard Catholic Church following our faithful compass of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

What Do We Have In Common?
We are all practicing Catholic men who have been called to serve our church, our parishioners and our community through practical works following our guiding principle, Charity. United in faith, our mantra is “where there is a need, there is a Knight” and we meet that need enthusiastically with our fraternal brothers in joyful service. We join over two million fellow brother Knights around the world in this mission. The many needs in our world today have never been greater. Join us and experience the joy and personal fulfillment of service!

What Is The Time Commitment?
We meet once monthly, except July and August. Our general meetings commence with the rosary at 7:00 pm on the first Wednesday of each month. Our meetings are generally completed in less than two hours, followed by time for fellowship. If you choose to avail yourself to an Executive role, you will also meet the last Tuesday of each month. Other than these meetings, we engage in many programs; however your attendance at one of our programs will depend on your availability. There are no mandatory attendance rules in our order.

Am I Qualified?
The only qualification is that you are a practicing Catholic male of at least 18 years of age. You will join brothers from literally every walk of life, career and life experience. Part of the joy of becoming a Knight is the fraternal experience of sharing and growing with like minded men, united in service.
