The next CWL Annual Lecture in Catholic Studies (for 2023-24) will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 (7:00 - 9:00 pm) in McGivney Hall (M100) at St. Mary's University.
The keynote speaker will be Leah Perrault
The title of her presentation is Hearts of Flesh: Spiritual Resilience for Hope in the Dark
About Leah: Leah Perrault has served as the Executive Director of Southwest Homes in Swift Current since 2021. Before that she served 6 years in Catholic healthcare and 8 years as the Director of Pastoral Services for the Diocese of Saskatoon. When she’s not busy with her day job, she speaks, consults and writes on the side. Her words find a home at retreats, schools, conferences, book clubs, board meetings, church groups, articles, books and ~ hopefully ~ in the hearts of those who hear and read them. Leah and her husband, Marc, are parents of four children: Robyn, Eliot, Charlize and Atticus. Their family enjoys time at the lake, board games, and spending time with friends.

Sophie Hamer's 99th Birthday, October 2022. A beautiful tribute to a wonderful role model.
A lunch was given in her honor was organized by her family. The event was well attended by some members of the CWL of St. Gerard’s Parish.
Sophie was an active member of our parish for so many years. A delightful member who shares her time, talent, and spiritual wisdom to her faith community.
It was a lovely party to commemorate our continued spiritual journey with her.
