The objective of this ministry is to lead the community in giving honour and glory to God through song, and to make the message of the Gospel more alive. Its focus is to enrich the Eucharistic celebration by leading the congregation in song and to choose hymns that are appropriate to the readings of the day.
The music ministry at St. Gerard's is composed of volunteers who contribute their musical talents to lead the assembly in song at masses, weddings, funerals, and special liturgical events. They are a diverse group of people of all ages, from many backgrounds, with a variety of musical experience. This ministry welcome anyone to join, regardless of their level of musical knowledge or experience in choirs.
While it isn't necessary to commit to attending every week, some consistency is preferred, to become familiar with the repertoire.

The objective of this ministry is to increase the breadth and depth of Scriptural appreciation in the proclaimer, and to enhance the word proclaimed so the listeners will find greater understanding and appreciation of God’s love. Its focus is to proclaim the Word of God to the assembly along with ongoing personal faith development. It serves the Pastoral ministers and the gathered assembly.

The objective of this ministry is to provide opportunities for young people (boys and girls) to actively participate in the mass and to familiarise youth and adults with the rituals of serving at Mass. Its focus is to enhance the liturgy of the Mass and to provide support for the priest during the celebration of the Mass. It serves all who celebrate Mass by contributing to the unfolding of rituals in an orderly way.

The objective of this ministry is to provide the necessary numbers of Eucharistic Ministers to offer the Body and Blood of Christ at all masses. Its focus is to prayerfully and efficiently assist the priest with the serving of the Eucharist. It serves all those present at Eucharist celebrations.The objective of this ministry is to create an appropriate liturgical space to enhance our celebration of the liturgy. Its focus is to be aware of the liturgical themes throughout the year and to provide an atmosphere that helps us to relate to those themes. It serves the parish community, visitors, students from surrounding schools, and all who come to St. Gerard’s for various celebrations and activities.
This ministry may be of interest to those who have a desire to enhance and make God’s house of worship special though their individual gifts and/or their knowledge and love of plants.This ministry supports the priest in bringing the gospel message to our parish community by ensuring that the necessary sacramental are on hand and in place on the altar. Its focus is to prepare the altar sacraments so that all masses can be conducted smoothly, prayerfully and without unnecessary interruptions or distractions. It serves the priest and all those who attend mass at St. Gerard’s.
This ministry may be of interest to those who desire to serve our Lord by ‘preparing His table’.The objective of this ministry is to welcome and to be available to parishioners and visitors before, during, and after masses, and to handle any necessary activities or problems that might arise. Its focus is to welcome people to mass, answer questions, distribute the bulletins, be responsible for security, and help with seating when required. It serves St. Gerard’s community and guests.
