Volunteer Requirements

join our parish ministries
To help keep our community safe, welcoming, and vibrant, all volunteers are asked to be registered parish members and to complete a few standard safeguarding requirements.
For any role that involves youth, vulnerable adults, or parish finances, volunteers are required to:
- Complete a Police Check (valid for 5 years)
- Complete Diocesan Training, either online or in person (valid for 3 years)
Please do not let the paperwork discourage you—we are here to support you at every step and make the process as simple as possible.

FUNERALS
This ministry is truly a work of many hands, bringing together a variety of God-given gifts and talents to help provide a meaningful and prayerful funeral celebration for grieving family and friends during a very delicate time. Through their commitment and by simply sharing the love of our Lord, this ministry helps build a Christian community of compassion, care, and support that reaches beyond the parish to the wider community.
The Funeral Ministry team includes a variety of roles, such as:
- funeral coordinators
- music director, choir, and accompanist
- prayer vigil presider,
- choir, music and choir leader
- audio-visual and live-stream technicians
- altar servers, sacristan, readers, and Eucharistic Ministers
- kitchen and reception assistance, helping to extend hospitality and comfort to families and guests
